CED/NOF-IADR Oral Health Research Congress 2024

CED/NOF-IADR Oral Health Research Congress 2024

Geneva, Switzerland

According to the latest consensus workshop of the EFP and AAP, peri-implantitis is highly prevalent, affecting 22% of implants. Once peri-implantitis has developed, its management is challenging, highly unpredictable and associated with significant morbiditiy, leaving countless patients worldwide with implant loss each year.

Recent years have seen a steep rise in peri-implantitis cases, demonstrating that this veritable tsunami cannot be resolved with traditional concepts and existing therapies. Experts at global congresses agree: new concepts and technologies focusing on peri-implantitis prevention are needed.

At this year's Oral Health Research Congress of the CED-IADR, taking place from September 12 to 14, a Patent™ Symposium will be held on Friday, September 13, from 10:30 to 12:30, featuring Prof. Anton Sculean, Dr. Gil Alcoforado, Dr. Roland Glauser, and Prof. Dieter Bosshardt. These leading experts will share that, for the first time in the history of dentistry, an implant system has been proven in two long-term studies to effectively resist peri-implantitis. This system is Patent™.

The key to preventing peri-implantitis lies in the Patent™ Implant's ability to promote uniquely strong soft-tissue adhesion to its transmucosal surface, resulting in a robust defense barrier against bacteria. Equally important, the Patent™ Implant features a transmucosal design that eliminates the subgingival microgap found in traditional implant systems with screwed retention, which acts as an uncontrollable breeding ground for bacteria.

Sign up for this prestigious symposium during this year's Oral Health Research Congress in Geneva and learn how you too can use Patent™ Implants to avoid peri-implantitis!
